The Intermountain Electrical Association (IEA) and NECA are partnering together to host an annual golf tournament in honor of the late John White, a beloved figure in the industry. The tournament will be held on June 6th at 8 am at the Thanksgiving Point Golf Club in Lehi. John White was an extraordinary man who touched the lives of countless people. John was known for his infectious sense of humor, boundless generosity, and love for thousands of people.

John was an outstanding salesman and, in 1991, he founded John White & Associates, his own electrical manufacturer rep company, which he led for decades. He was a generous employer, making countless donations, sending employees to Hawaii, or helping someone in need. Many of his deepest relationships were with distributor and contractor friends he made during his fifty years in the electrical industry. John was involved with several industry organizations, including the Intermountain Electrical Association, where he served as the president and a board member multiple times. John was often the hilarious MC at many of their gatherings. He was an enthusiastic supporter of various charitable organizations.

The proceeds from the golf tournament will go to “Hogs for Humanity,” an organization that helps kids in need, something John White donated to ever since its inception. The event is open to everyone, and there are sponsorship opportunities available. John would always be the first to open his wallet to help anywhere he could. The golf tournament is a great way to honor John White’s legacy while also helping others in need.
