CONTINUING EDUCATION

“For the Electrical Industry”

The IEA Offers continuing education opportunities to facilitate and help its members stay current on industry trends, training, building and electrical code and relevant industry information.Classes change from year-to-year in order to cover the very latest industry developments. Courses for Contractors, Engineers, and Electricians are currently offered as live, interactive events and the association is working to implement online training options.

Continuing Education credits can be earned by participating in courses, or online courses through Jade Learning.

Industry Recognition

As a proud participant in the electrical industry, the Intermountain Electrical Association is well aware of the many hard working professionals performing quality work. The organization strives to recognize and reward high-achieving electrical professionals and companies for their important contributions. Our annual “Awards Banquet” honors outstanding projects and outstanding professionals from every category of the group’s membership. Importantly, their peers from within the industry choose the winners by secret ballot. These awards go to IEA members and non-members alike. These are Industry Awards rather than organization awards.

Scholarship Fund

Education is a key component of the organization’s mission. While providing training opportunities to its members, the IEA also affords opportunities for its members and their family members to pursue formal education and trade schools. Through an impressive scholarship fund, the IEA aims to reward hard work, one’s desire to continue learning and experience through higher education and/or trade school, and to promote talent. 

The scholarship fund is entirely self-funded through a permanent foundation and perpetual trust. Investment growth and event process help that trust to grow, allowing the continued support of those hoping to further their education.

Community Involvement

The IEA is proud to serve the intermountain communities in which it operates. The association provides its members with opportunities to serve, participate and to make tax deductible charitable contributions monetarily and with products and services, as individuals and/or as businesses.

The group’s largest charitable event is our annual “Hogs For Humanity” police escort motorcycle and car rally for a cause. Each year, the group selects an individual or group in need to receive all proceeds from the event. Non-riders are welcome to attend a lunch event that is provided to all participants and attendees. Door prizes are raffled at the luncheon for the participants as a thank you for their contributions to the cause. The 501(c)(3) charitable organization used to find recipients is called “Children & the Earth”. Through this organization we have many charitable choices afforded us; thus allowing us to be generous and charitable to best suited cause for our community.
